Anesthesiology Billing

You are here

BPA’s board certified anesthesiologists work in an anesthesia care team approach to ensure your optimal safety and comfort during your surgery.  This means that, in addition to anesthesiologists, we employ certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs) and certified anesthesiologist assistants (AA-Cs), collectively referred to as anesthetists, to assist with your care.  These advanced level practitioners hold masters’ degrees and have at least two years of specific anesthesia training.  They work under the medical direction of our board certified anesthesiologists.  In instances where both an anesthesiologist and an anesthetist are involved with your care, we submit our bills in accordance with Medicare guidelines.  As such, you may see two entries on your statement.  While this may appear to be a duplicate charge, there are modifiers attached to each charge which indicate to the insurance company how the service was provided.  Insurers have different ways of reimbursing and we work within their established guidelines to determine appropriate allocation of payments and patient responsibility.

Payment for any rendered service is ultimately your responsibility.    As a courtesy Brevard Physician Associates, PLLC will submit your bill to your insurance company using information we have on file before looking to you for payment.  Please note, we rely upon the facility to provide us with the appropriate information.    Shortly after your visit, you will receive a statement from us indicating any insurance information we have on file.  Please check this information carefully and immediately call 321-821-2647 between 8AM-5PM M-F if any of the information is incorrect.

If your insurance has not paid after thirty days, we ask you to contact them or to call the appropriate number listed above to determine how you may assist in expediting payment.   After sixty days, we will look to you for payment of your outstanding bill.

For balances not covered by insurance and for self-pay bills we accept cash, personal checks, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.   If you need to make payment arrangements, please contact the appropriate number listed above immediately upon receipt of your bill.

You may pay your bill online by visiting the secure website https://patientpay.ahsrcm.com.  Please have your statement ID number and the guarantor's date of birth when visiting this site to pay your bill.

You may also pay your bill via mail to:

Brevard Physician Associates, PLLC
P.O. Box 2400
Melbourne, FL 32902-2400

Please be sure to include a copy of your statement or indicate your account number clearly on your check so the payment can be appropriately applied to your account.
